Fig-tastic chia pudding

Gawd, I couldn’t resist putting that into the title of this post.

Would you believe that I’ve only tried fresh figs recently? I’ve had dried figs and I didn’t like them because they had a weird earthy flavour. Fresh figs are so mild in comparison with only a hint of earthiness. I like them enough but they are a bit pricey at six for 498JPY (USD6). How much do figs cost in your country?

For my regular chia pudding recipe, click here. I just added fresh figs to the mix and it looked so pretty that I had to take a picture.

  1. Chia pudding looks great, especially with those fresh figs! Love fresh figs!!!

  2. I just tried figs for the first time early on in the fall as well, I agree fresh are much more “fruity” and light.

  3. That looks so nice, I love the colours! I actually felt the same about dried figs but bought a small box of four fruits a couple of weeks ago, turns out fresh figs are so much nicer, haha.
